PRICEVILLE, Ala. - On Oct. 23-25, 2008, the Alabama Jubilee held its 41st annual horse show. Judged by a three-person panel, Jason Hughes, Newton Parks and Philip Wilson called the 60-class three-day event. In the last class of the show, 11 stake horses entered the ring including King Of The Jungle who was crowned the Walking Stake Champion. Ridden by trainer Charlie Green, this multi-blue ribbon winner is owned by Nestor Stewart of McMinnville, Tenn. This team has also enjoyed wins at Warren County Fair, Smith County Horse Show and the Manchester Lions Club.

Two world grand champions were exhibited at the Alabama Jubilee. Kelly Peevy and Outta Line displayed their talents on Friday night that claimed them Amateur Three-Year-Old Stallion, Amateur Novice Stallion and ultimately the Novice World Grand Championship. This team rides under the Swinging Gate Stables banner.

Owned by the Richard Justice family, Strait Line Cash claimed the Two-Year-Old Stallion class and went back to win trainer and rider Philip Trimble’s first set of roses when they rode under the spotlight as the Two-Year-Old World Grand Champions.

Multiple blues went to Charlie Green Stables, Latham Stables, Knox Blackburn Stables, Bruce Hankins Stables, Joe Fleming Stables, Pioneer Farms, Tim Smith Stables, Jamie Bradshaw Stables, Herbert Derickson Stables, Mickey McCormick Stables, Peebles Stables, David Landrum Stables, Bud Dunn and Son Stables, Triple C Stables and Jeff Willis Stables.
