The Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation recently sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell thanking him for his sponsorship of S. 1161, the Horse Protection Amendments Act of 2015, on behalf of the 466,000 member families of the Kentucky Farm Bureau.

Just as the American Farm Bureau and Tennessee Farm Bureau have done previously, the letter points out the support of objective, science-based inspection protocols to eliminate the less than 1% of soring that happens in the industry.  Current subjective inspection protocols produce many false positives and don't provide the consistent, scientifically reliable results that the objective protocols would provide.
