Kentucky State Senator Robin Webb recently sent a letter to the members of the Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade subcommittee within the Energy & Commerce committee.  These congressional members have H.R. 1518, the PAST act, proposed by Congressman Ed Whitfield (R. Ky) and Steve Cohen (D. Tn) before their committee.  Senator Webb's letter addresses the huge negative impact this legislation would have on the equine community, especially in Kentucky as well as its devastation to the Tennessee Walking Horse breed.

Congressman Whitfield's wife, Connie Harriman is a senior policy advisor for the Humane Society Legislative Fund.  The Humane Society of the United States has been a strong supporter of H.R. 1518.  To view Senator Webb's letter to the committee members Click Here
