Lamar Mitchell Jr., suffered shoulder injuries after his Ford extended-cab truck he was driving, pulling a shoeing trailer, was hit in the driver's side door by a large truck driven by Tommy Edward of Kemper Construction Company late Thursday morning. The accident occurred at the 231 North-Highway 82 intersection in Deason.

Bedford County EMS carried Mitchell to Middle Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of shoulder injuries. He was pinned in the truck for approximately 15-20 minutes and was cut out of the vehicle by members of the Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. and Bell Buckle Fire Department.
