Laurel Wright is the winner of the 30th Annual Texaco Country Showdown that was held at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium. She was chosen over thousands of contestants across the nation. This 16-year-old singer/songwriter started performing at the age of four and wrote her first song when she was just 10 years old. Since then she has penned more than 30 songs. Laurel has performed at numerous venues with such artists as The Band Perry, Josh Thompson, Frankie Ballard, James Wesley, Blaine Larson, Troy Olsen, and Katie Armiger, to name a few.



Laurel will sing the National Anthem on Saturday night at the National Trainers’ Show in White Pine, Tenn. The Trainers’ Show is April 12-14, 2012.
