Letter to the Editor

Dear Walking Horse Trainers Auxiliary:

It was with great honor and gratitude that I accepted the Walking Horse Trainers Auxiliary Merit Award during the Celebration on Friday Night, September 4, 2009. I have been an active member of this wonderful organization since its inception in 1971. Upon reflection, the Trainers’ Wives Auxiliary (as it was known originally) was established on May 21, 1971 with 43 members. The main goal at that time was to raise money for the Trainers’ Association. We can all be very proud that today…we do that and much much more. Our 38-year heritage has grown by leaps and bounds….thanks to the dedicated members for their passionate love for the walking horse.

Again…thank you for this tremendous honor…I will forever be grateful.

Camping on-site continues to be a popular option for Celebration fans, and The Celebration wants to maximize that experience.
