Marshall County Horseman's Association selects Grider

The Marshall County Horseman's Association is pleased to announce their upcoming 41st annual horse show on July 21, 2017. Judging the event will be the Honorable Brent Grider of Columbia, Kentucky. The event will feature 32 classes, including Riders Cup classes, amateur and youth classes. Gates will be manned by the TWHBEA Youth and all gate proceeds will benefit the TWHBEA Youth scholarship program. The Marshall County Leo Club will receive a portion of the concessions profits. Tony White, concession chairman, will be serving delicious ham sandwiches and burgers, as well as homemade desserts. MCHA invites all horse enthusiasts to come sample some of Middle Tennessee's finest food, horses, and hospitality.

Walking Horse Trainers Association Horse of the Year committee would like to announce some changes to the Horse of the Year program for 2025. World Champion and World Grand Champions will still be automatic nominees with the added requirement of having to been shown at least 3 times in their division during the show year.

The Prevent All Soring Tactics (PAST) Act and the Horse Protection Amendments Act were both introduced in the 119th Congress. The PAST Act would eliminate the use of pads and action devices, eliminate the Horse Industry Organization system of enforcement and increase penalties for violators of the HPA.
