Madison Wilson carried the flag at the Cascade Homecoming Football Game

The following was read at the Cascade High School Homecoming Game on Friday, September 15, 2023:
Our flag horse tonight is My Diamonds and Pearls. She is presented by Madison Wilson. Owned by Christie Scrivner, My Diamonds and Pearls is a four-time Reserve World Champion Tennessee Walking Horse. She has won many blue ribbons during her show career in both fine harness and amateur under saddle classes. She has won three blue ribbons and one reserve in juvenile classes this season. Presenting the horse and flag is Madison Wilson, a current Cascade High School Senior. Madison is the daughter of Cliff and Dawn Wilson of Bell Buckle, TN. Madison is an active member and officer of FFA and has attended Cascade since Kindergarten. Madison enjoys time spent with FFA activities and riding horses. She plans to become a game warden. Madison wants to express her sincere thanks to Dickie and Christie Scrivner for allowing her to present our country’s colors with My Diamonds and Pearls

During the 2025 SHOW Judges’ a discussion was had regarding if owners could show horses in front of a judge that they had horses in training with. Under the 2024 rules, an owner could show a horse that they owned in front of a judge that was also a professional trainer that the same owner also had horses in training.

The United States Department of Agriculture postponed the effective date of the Horse Protection Rule until February 1, 2026. This postponement means that the Horse Industry Organizations will remain in effect for at least the 2025 show season.
