POMONA, Calif. – The 26th annual West Coast Walking Horse Trainers’ Show was held on April 25-27, 2008, at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona, Calif. Chris Bobo of Shelbyville, Tenn., judged the event.

Despite having to reschedule the Friday night performance due to the DQP being unable to make it to the show, and putting those classes in the Saturday’s schedule once another DQP was flown in on Saturday morning, the show was a success. The United States Department of Agriculture VMOs were also present.

Tying for the most blues won were Pollack’s Silver Spur Ranch World Grand Champion Push N For Pleasure in the Trail Pleasure division and Dana Kanstul and Sue Wittek’s Vigor’s Ramble On in the Lite-Shod division. Each claimed six blue ribbons.

Pollack’s Silver Spur Ranch took home the most blues with 18. Russ Thompson Stables was next with 14, including the Grand Championship class with Magnifico, while Step-A-Side Ranch captured 11. Golden West Farm claimed seven blues and Boutique Creek went home with two.
