The Walking Horse Trainers' Association announces that they will hold their MASCUP Championships in conjunction with this year's International Grand Championship Walking Horse Show. Championship classes will be held in the two, three and four year old divisions. Each class will pay a total of $2,500. The International Grand Championship Walking Horse Stake will also be a MASCUP class and will pay a total of $11,125.
All championship classes will be held on Saturday night, October 5th, however, those wishing to show in the championship events must qualify in their respective division on Thursday night. MASCUP qualifying classes will be held for six divisions: Two Year Old Mares and Geldings, Two Year Old Stallions and Geldings, Three Year Old Mares and Geldings, Three Year Old Stallions and Geldings, Four Year Old Mares and Geldings and Four Year Old Stallions and Geldings. The International will pay $1,000 total prize money in all qualifying classes, including the MASCUP classes. Money won in both the qualifying and championship classes will apply to MASCUP standings.
