McConnell To Cooperate With Authorities
Thursday, May 24, 2012
According to his 17- page plea agreement, Jackie McConnell has agreed to cooperate with authorities on future soring cases. McConnell pled guilty to one count in a 52- count indictment this week in Federal Court in Chattanooga, TN.
Under a plea agreement with federal prosecutors, he probably will avoid jail time. His sentence of probation, which must be approved by a federal judge, is scheduled for Sept. 10. Under the charges, McConnell could have faced up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
McConnell has agreed to interview with law enforcement and to testify before a federal grand jury or at a trial. He has agreed not to protect anyone who might have committed a crime. Below is the entire 17 page plea agreement.
