Dr. Doyle Meadows, Chief Executive Officer of the Tennesee Walking Horse National Celebration, is recuperating after hip replacement surgery yesterday at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, AL.  The surgery lasted approximately 40 minutes and went very well.

His lovely wife Gloria reports that he can possibly come home tomorrow (Saturday)but that she is trying to convince the doctors to keep him as long as possible.  Unknown to him, the TWHNC Board expects him back at the office Monday - for at least a half day - which is his regular work schedule.

Chairman Charles McDonald praised his CEO saying "We are very impressed  with what Doyle gets done in three hours and frankly are not confident we could stand the results of a full days work."
