The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration (TWHNC) recently announced it would add the Amateur Five-Year-Old division at the 75th Annual Celebration.  To honor the inaugural year of the division with the ultimate crowning of a new World Grand Champion, TWHNC will send medallions honoring the winners at every show throughout the year.  Any horse show that offers the class can request the medallions and The Celebration will provide them at no charge.

Horse show managers are encouraged to add the division building momentum throughout the year leading up to the 75th Annual Celebration.  Applicable divisions include Amateur Stallions, Amateur Mares and Geldings or combined.  The Celebration will crown World Champions in both the Five-Year-Old Amateur Mare and Gelding Specialty and Five Year-Old Amateur Stallions Specialty and award World Grand Championship to the Five-Year-Old Amateur Specialty winner.

“I hope the winners will be as excited to win these commemorative medallions as the Celebration is to award them,” said Celebration Chief Executive Officer Mike Inman.  “There will be a very limited number of people to receive these during the year and of course the World Champion and World Grand Champion medallions will truly be one of a kind and never duplicated,” concluded Inman.

Show managers need to contact Connie Allen (ext. 107) or Margaret Eakin (ext. 106) at The Celebration 931-684-5915 to request the medallions and indicate how the medallions are to be engraved.  Each medallion will include the class being offered and include “Inaugural Year 2013.”  The Celebration requests photos of each recipient of the medallions to be emailed to the Celebration for inclusion on the new TWHNC Facebook page.
