Knoxville's Weekly Voice, the Metro Pulse, published a damaging article to the Tennessee Walking Horse in their November 13, 2006 issue. The article, entitled “Sore Winners” was written by Leslie Wylie and was an eight page critique of the Tennessee Walking Horse industry.

The cover of the story featured a closeup picture of a horse formerly owned by Jane Meredith and within the body of the copy included a photograph of her on the horse at the Celebration.

Meredith confirmed that she neither spoke to the writer or anyone at Metro Pulse nor gave her permission to use the photographs. She has also confirmed that the photographer Jack Greene did not give his permission to use the photographs.

Meredith contacted an attorney yesterday to pursue a legal challenge of the article. A copy of her letter to the Metro Pulse is available at www.walkinghorsereport.com.
