WISE, Va. - The 14th annual Wise County Classic Horse Show was held on May 3 at the Wise County Fairgrounds. The weather nor the changing temperatures hampered those eager to attend. With 248 entries the show was one of the biggest ever. Sponsored by the Wise County Christian School, this show has always been a community project where friends, neighbors and families join together for the betterment of all.

Michael Daniel of Madison, Tenn., served as the walking horse judged. The show manager and one of the founding fathers of the show was Wayne Conley. Announcer Harry Bacon, in his debut, did an excellent job of keeping the classes moving and entertaining. Natasha Douglas was the photographer and captured all the exciting moments.

Ten talented horses made the gate call in the Open Specialty Walking Horse Stake. Steve Hankins and MOAB delivered the blue and trophies to proud owner Della Compton, after giving the crowd a great show.
