Ken Moore of Athens, Ga., suffered a catastrophic loss in a barn fire early this week. Thirty-five of the 37 horses in the barn were lost and one of the two horses which did get out is in serious condition. The fire also consumed the vehicles on the property, the tractors, manure spreader, and all of the tack and equipment in the barn. Moore is a longstanding Georgia Walking Horse trainer who is well respected. The Report will update this story when more information is available about where to send donations and/or tack to assist Moore in his rebuilding efforts.
