by Renee Isaacs

MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State University held its annual spring horse show on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, 2008. The number of entries was record breaking for the spring show with over 300 competitors. Judging the two-day event was Dee Dee Sale of Lewisburg, Tenn.

Johnny Orlando and Mike Oney were the walking stake champions for Sweet Revenge Stables, giving them seven blues for the two-day event. The Stables at Alpha Place of Lititz, Pa., and Bob Adcock attended the show and claimed several blues as well.

Allison Thorson earned dual blues on Friday evening aboard Vigor’s Dixie Chick in the amateur and youth country pleasure divisions. Several other stables claimed top ribbons including Donald Stamper Stables, Terry Sims Stables, Brandye Mills Stables, Anasis Training Stables, Oppenheimer Stables and Beatty Stables.
