Copyright 2006 - The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitor's Association Executive Committee met today, Monday, June 26, 2006, in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The Executive Committee voted 8 to 4 to not affiliate the TWHBEA National Futurity with the National Horse Show Commission, and instead to affiliate with TWHBEA's newly sanctioned HIO.
The National Futurity has traditionally been held in Calsonic Arena on the night preceding the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. Although they have made the decision not to affiliate with the NHSC, no decision has been made about whether the show will be held in Calsonic Arena.
Historically the National Futurity has affiliated with the NHSC and these entries in these classes qualified for championship classes at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration.
Additional information about the National Futurity will be available soon in the Walking Horse Report.
