The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association (WHTA) announced today that their 2012 National Trainers’ Show will affiliate with the SHOW Horse Industry Organization (HIO).  The National Trainers’ Show will be held April 12-14 in White Pine, Tenn.

Earlier this year the membership of the WHTA voted to move the 2012 National Trainers’ Show from Shelbyville, Tenn. to the Walters State Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center in White Pine.  The 2012 show will also be held during a new date in April instead of the traditional March date.

“Our board made the decision today to affiliate our 2012 horse show with the SHOW HIO.  The board feels confident that this affiliation gives our horse show the best chance of success and is the right move for our association,” said President Bill Cantrell.

“We urge all of our membership to support our 2012 National Trainers’ Show and their association as the horse show is our major fundraising initiative,” concluded Cantrell.  For more information about sponsorship and show information contact the WHTA or show chairman Benny Johnson.
