This year’s Tennessee Walking Horse Youth Judging Contest will be held on Wednesday, June 1, at Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The contest was traditionally held during the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, but has not taken place the past two years due to Covid. This year’s return of the contest will be in conjunction with the Central Region 4-H Horse Show. Moving the contest to June will hopefully make more horses available and provide participants with increased opportunities to sharpen their skills. Participants will be invited to attend The Celebration in August where winners will be recognized in center ring and invited to guest judge a class. Youth aged 10 to 18 can participate as individuals or teams to compete for scholarships and prizes totaling $10,000. The scholarships are sponsored by TWHBEA and The Celebration. Participants are split into Junior and Senior divisions and will judge both conformation and performance classes. The registration deadline is Friday, May 27. Registration forms are available online at www.TWHBEA.com/youth/programs. For more information, contact Paulette Ewing at 931-359-0593 or [email protected].
