The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association announces the decision of the Nominating Committee for the 2017 Executive Committee. Committee chairman, William “Sonny” Wadsworth, released the decision Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2016 in advance of the mid-month deadline.
The Executive Committee is nominated as follows with a few changes to the panel of President and Vice Presidents:
President – David Williams (TN); Nominated
Senior VP – Charles Gleghorn (TN)
Breeders/Futurity VP – Carrie Benedict (KY); Nominated
Owners/Exhibitors/Int’l VP – Keegan Meadows (GA); Nominated
Marketing VP – Ashley Wadsworth (MS)
Admin/Fiscal/Audit VP – Nancy Lynn Greene (TN)
Performance Horse VP – Ford Gates (AL)
Training/Equine Welfare VP – Stephen B. Smith (TN);
Nominated Pleasure Horse VP – Margo Urad (TX)
Bylaws/Enforcement VP – Robin Webb (KY)
Youth VP – Ginger Evans (AL)
Secretary – James (Jim) Heiting (CA); Nominated
The annual December meeting(s) and Banquet occurs on the first weekend of December (2-3) and notice is to be posted online for times and schedule. The nominating committee for 2016-2017 were, Chairman – William Wadsworth, Charles (Bill) Wright, Bruce Vaughn, Debbie Wells (ILO Absented Member), Spencer Benedict, Kim Widner (Alternate) Gene Carswell (Absent).
Positive leadership is a requirement for growth in any business. The nominating committee has determined the best officers among the candidates to provide that positive leadership going forward into the coming year.
