Donna R. Thompson Black, age 72, of Waco, Kentucky passed away on May 26th, 2020 at U.K. Healthcare. She was born in Yosemite, Kentucky on September 1, 1947, a daughter of the late Norman and Flonnie Spears Thompson.

Donna was a beloved mother and wife who also cared for several other children in her home through the years.  Known for her kindness and compassion, she unofficially “adopted” many friends and children along the way. A man could not ask for a better wife and mother, so kind and sweet.

Survivors include: Her Spouse: Robert Raymond Black, Three Children: Laura K. Black and (Michael Osborne) of Bowling Green, KY, Amy M. Black and (Jeffrey Marsh) of Richmond, KY, and Robby Black of Shelbyville, TN, Two Grandchildren: Emma Rose Black and Carter Jackson Black of Shelbyville, TN, Siblings:  Howard Thompson, Mike, Roger, Verlin and Irvin Daniel, and Rhonda Whittle.

Preceding her in death besides her parents were: Betty Jane Hatter, Latida Ann Pitman, Ila Jean Daniel, Mildred Louise Glass, Jeanette Puckett, Mabel Fay Hughes, Charlene Mae Morgan, Carol Lee Thompson, Russell C. Thompson, Connie Black, and Becky Antle.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 31st, 2020 at Casey County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Tim Carman officiating. Burial will be in the Casey County Memorial Gardens.
