Obituary – Sam Hartsell

Sam “Shot” Hartsell, age 74, of Newport, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018, in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Hartsell and parents, Floyd and Viola McMahan Hartsell. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie McGill of Knoxville; son, Ronnie (Susan) Hartsell of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Josh McGill of Knoxville and Ashley (Tyson) Caphart of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Alan Hartsell, Leonard (Pat) Hartsell, Edgar (Mary) Hartsell, and Lawrence (Frances) Hartsell; sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Ramsey and Marie (Earl) Trentham; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Frank Bell officiating. The burial will be held 11:00 am, Monday, June 11, 2018 in the Williams Cemetery, Cosby, TN. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com.
