James "Jim" VWoodburn, age 78, died at his residence July 24, 2015. Jim was born March 24, 1937 in Sacramento and was a farmer and horseman. He was a member of the Sacramento Baptist Church, a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeder Association and a Army veteran. Woodburn was definitely no stranger to the show ring or the winners' circle. He showed Thunder In The Sky to many blue ribbons including a Reserve World Championship in 2012. He also directed Generator's Edge to World Championship honors in 2010. 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin M. and Stella Rhoades Woodburn and siblings Charles Woodburn, Barbara Ingram and Helen Vinson. 

He is survived by his wife Christine Lyon Woodburn, sons Bennie(Teresa) Woodburnand Alan Woodburn all of Sacramento; grandchildren Ross Woodburn, Scott Woodburn, Mackenzie Williams and Troy Woodburn; great-children Heidi Williams, Kylie Jo Woodburn, Holden Williams and Kelsey Rae Woodburn;, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Gail Lyon of Custer, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 27, 2015 at 1 PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, KY. Visitation will be Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 4-8 PM and Monday, July 27, 2015 from 9 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Station Baptist Church Cemetery in Sacramento, KY.
