Betty S. Yarbrough, 75, of Huntsville, Ala., passed away on Sunday April 6, 2003. Yarbrough attended Huntsville High, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the Junior Grace Club. She also attended Huntington College and was a nurses aid in World War II. She was a member of the Junior League of Huntsville, active in scouting in Pulaski, Tenn., and a business owner and Society Editor for the Giles County Free Press. Yarbrough was also a secretary for Murray Walking Horse Farms and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, Tenn.

Yarbrough is survived by her husband, Sam H. Yarbrough, Sr., of Huntsville; two sons, Sam H. Yarbrough, Jr., of Altoona, Ala., and James H. Yarbrough of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Sam H. Yarbrough III of Altoona, Ala., William E. Yarbrough of Helena, Ala., and Matthew Yarbrough of Kingston, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Slayde Yarbrough of Gadsden, Ala., and Chloe Yarbrough of Helen, Ala.; and a daughter-in-law, Lynne M. Hammer of Nashville, Tenn.
