Former World Champion and noted stallion Black Vengeance was put down on June 18 after complications from colic.

Black Vengeance was owned by Mariella Fugger and was trained and shown to some of his many wins by Knox Blackburn, Bill Cantrell, and Steve Aymett. Owner Mariella Fugger directed Black Vengeance to the Three-Year-Old Amateur World and World Grand Championship titles in 1996. During his career he also earned the title of World Champion Aged Stallion as well as many stake wins across the country.

The loss of Black Vengeance will not only be felt in the showring, but the breeding world as well. He stood at the historic Harlinsdale Farm where he bred several offspring that will no doubt carry on his striking beauty and great legacy.
