Obituary - Brenda Jo Oldfield Vest

Brenda Jo Oldfield Vest of Lower Nickell Branch, Hazel Green, KY, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY, at the age of 62 years, 6 months, and 12 days. She was born on Tuesday, February 26, 1946 in Morgan County, KY, a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Allen Oldfield.

She was united in marriage to Walter Thomas Vest. To this union was born three children, Regina, Tomika, and Walter Thomas, Jr. She was a retired secretary from the Morgan County Middle School.

In addition to her parents, Walter and Elizabeth Oldfield, Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Tommy, Jr.; and her grandparents, Bill & Ida Oldfield and Elijah & Ethel Allen.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tom; two daughters, Regina Fritsch of Georgetown, KY and John Fritsch of Paris, KY, and Tomika and Rusty Goble of Debord, KY; five grandchildren, Ashley Katherine Fritsch, Lauren Camille Goble, Matthew Thomas Fritsch, Samantha Paige Goble, and Russell Weston Goble; one sister, Janie and Jack Adkins of West Liberty; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Juanita Vest, Lois Klapheke, William & Ruth Vest, Ira & Brenda Vest, and Gay Fleming.

Memorial services for both Brenda and her son Tommy Jr. will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008, at the Morgan County Middle School Gym with Rev. Garrie Stamper officiating. Visitation from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Morgan County Middle School Gym.
