Obituary - Carol Ann Pitzer



Carson City, Nev. - Carol Ann Pitzer passed away at Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City on July 16, 2009. Born September 1, 1945 in Madera, California to John {Jack} Burgess Pitzer and Gretchen Brown Pitzer.

She graduated from Reno High School in 1963 and was dedicated to her Tennessee Walking horses. Her prized possession was the mare Generator's Elegance who was named "Pleasure Horse of the Century" in 2000 by the WHTA. Elegance also earned 6 World Grand Championship Titles and 10 World Titles which to this date has not been equaled.

She is survived by her sister Holly Carson and half brother Cal Pettengill both from the Reno area.

A memorial Service is to be held Sept 13, 2009 at Noon at the Carson City Fair Grounds at the "NNGHC all gaited horse show"  in Carson City, NV.
