Obituary - Coy Claxton

Mr. Coy Allen Claxton 82 of Shelbyville died Monday, August 26, 2019. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 29th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Billy Joe Calvert officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Coy was a native of Bedford County; a Horse Trainer who loved working with colts; a member of the Walking Horse Trainer's Association; a Master Carpenter and a member of Crowell's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anne Marie Overcast Claxton; children, David Lee (Vickie) Claxton, Harold Keith (Christy) Claxton, John Scott Claxton; a brother, George Wayne (Hazel Lynn) Claxton; five grandchildren, Rob (Joyce Marie) Claxton, Mike (Ashley) Claxton, Erik (Megan) Claxton, Jordan Claxton, Abby Claxton and five great grandchildren.
