Obituary - Hal D. Hensley

Hal D. Hensley, 78, of Athens, Tenn., passed away Thursday, Agu. 30, 2012, at his residence. A native of Monroe County and resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Dewey and Stella Ivens Hensley, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Hensley.
Hensley was an owner and exhibitor of Tennessee Walking Horses and was a member of WHOA, East Tennessee Walking Horse Association, and TWHBEA.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Anne Studdard Hensley, two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Teresa Hensley, Keith and Crrie Hensley, all of Athens; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Tues., Sept. 4, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home in Athens. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 304 20th Street SE, Cleveland, TN 37311.
