Obituary – Hunter Reavis

Harvey Hunter Reavis, 77, passed away, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Duke University Hospital. Born February 10, 1943 in Henderson, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Archie Reavis Sr and Nannie Floyd Reavis.

Hunter received his formal education at Middleburg School in Vance County, North Carolina and later attended Elon University. He worked as a shipping supervisor with Americal of Henderson for 26 ½ years; then as a supervisor at the UNC School of Dentistry in Medical Records for 10 years. Hunter enjoyed competition handgun shooting. He owned and showed quarter horses and Tennessee Walking Horses with his wife Pat. He was a member of the North Carolina Walking Horse Association for many years.

Hunter is survived by his wife Pat; brothers, Beverly Reavis (Jean) and Sam Reavis (Nancy) as well as 7 nieces and nephews.
