Obituary – Billy Joe Lollis

Mr. Billy Joe Lollis, age 85, of Christiana, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Bell Buckle Baptist Church with Brother Tommy Dye officiating. Burial, with full military honors, followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro.
He was born August 10, 1933, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Marvin Harold and Lena Garrison Lollis. He was a dairy farmer, carpenter, electrician, and jack of all trades. He raised Tennessee Walking Horses, and was a faithful member of Bell Buckle Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was an infant son, Timothy Joel Lollis, and two brothers, Marvin Lollis, Jr. and David Lollis.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Phipps Lollis, of Christiana; a son, Bart Joseph Lollis, and his wife Mary, of Wartrace; daughters, Regena Ratleph, and her husband Andy, Jr., of Bell Buckle, Betena Lollis, of South Carolina, and Beth Jeanne Lollis, of Christiana; grandchildren, Andrew Ratleph, Ashely Ratleph, Faith Lollis, and Braden Lollis; great grandchildren, Adeline Barks, Avery Ratleph, and Owen Ratleph; brothers, Sam Lollis, and his wife Kay, and Richard Lollis, and his wife, Brenda; a sister, Barbara Starkey, and her husband Raymond.

Judy Keeton Pierce, age 83, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026.Judy was born to Robbie McGregor Keeton and was lovingly adopted and raised by Lawrence Keeton, who she knew as her father. She was known for her strength, her vibrant personality, and her deep love for family and friends. Though small in stature, she was truly a “dynamite in a small package.”

Billy Roy Murray, of Shelbyville, passed away on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 at his home, at the age of 83. Billy was born in Tullahoma to the late William Murray and Mary Petty Roll. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy, and went on to work as an Electronics Technician at Bell South which later became ATT.
