Janice Lee Anderson, 60, of Lewisburg, Tenn., died August 22, 2011, at Vanderbilt University Hospital after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

A native of California, Janice was the former owner of Grossmont Escrow Company in San Diego, Calif., and participated in the Rose Bowl Parade for several years.  More recently, she was employed with Regions Bank, and was the owner of Magnolia Farms in Lewisburg.  She was a respected breeder of Tennessee Walking Horses and was actively involved in the Walking Horse Industry as an owner and exhibitor.  Janice’s World Champion horses included Lonestar Ritz and her personal favorite, Skywatch Eclipse.

She is survived by her father and step mother, Harlan (Hardy) G. and Marcia A. Thompson, of El Cajon, Calif.; her mother, Beverley Jones, of Rancho Bernardo, Calif.;  a brother, Harlan K. Thompson, of Seattle, Wash.; several nieces and nephews.
