Longtime Oxford, Michigan resident John L. Prigg passed away at the age of 63 on Friday, January 5, 2007 in Winter Haven, FL.

John was born in Muncie, Indiana. He attended Culver Military Academy and graduated from Muncie Central High School. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired from ITT Automotive as a Sales Executive. He and wife Diann acquired a business in Pheonix, AZ in 2003. His passion for horses lead him to join the Walking Horse Association of Michigan where he served as President for 5 years and was on the board of directors for the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders & Exhibitors Association in Lewisburg, TN. John was also a licensed judge for the Tennessee Walking Horses for more than 12 years.

John is survived by wife Diann, four daughters, Suzanne Wilson of Findley, Ohio; Jill Fotts of Mt. Morris, MI; Mary Abrams of Scottsdale, AZ; Staci Ardizzone of Nesconset, NY; and Philip Janos of Caro, MI; and seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion, MI on Thursday, January 11, 2007 between the hours of 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2207 at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church, Lake Orion, MI at 11 a.m.  Intemment will be on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Great Lakes National Cemetary in Holly, MI.
