Katherine “Katie” Webster Hickey passed away on Saturday, February 1st, following a three-year battle with a brain tumor. She was the wife of R.B. Hickey who has been involved with buying and selling walking horses all of his life.Katie worked with several horse shows and with the Murray Farm Sale and the Sale of Show Ring Champions for many years. She was a member of the Walking Horse Booster Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was an employee of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at the Cadek Conservatory of Music. Katie is survived by her husband, R.B. Hickey; her mother, Betty Webster; her brother, James Webster; her sister, Lynn Collins; three step-children, Richard Hickey, Marilyn Hickey Rehring and Carolyn Roberson; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Visitation is Tuesday from 2-9 p.m.
