Obituary - Mr. James Dee Watson

June 15, 1931 - April 16, 2012
James Dee Watson, age 80 of Lawrenceburg died April 16, 2012 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, an Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and a member of OK Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Carter Watson of Lawrenceburg; four brothers Elvis (Ruth) Watson, Glenn (Edith) Watson, Kenneth (Gail) Watson and Travis (Glenda) Watson all of Lawrenceburg; a special sister-in-law Joyce Flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Lorene Johnston Watson and a sister Martha Kilburn.
Mr. Watson owned several good Tennessee Walking Horses including Double Copper Coin that his wife loved and showed.
Funeral service will be held at OK Baptist Church, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2 pm with Steve Clark officiating and interment in OK Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will be at Pettus-Turnbo, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 6 ~ 8 pm.

The 55th Annual National Trainers’ Show was held in Cooper Steel Arena March 15th through the 18th on the show grounds of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. This marks the first Tennessee Walking Horse show in the newly title sponsored Cooper Steel Arena, replacing the old naming rights holder, Calsonic Arena.
