Obituary - Robert R. Swayne

Robert R. Swayne, 75, of Manheim passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Donald and Margaret Reed Swayne. He was the loving husband of Victoria L. Edgar Swayne and they would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in September. Robert owned and operated Swayne’s Farrier Service in Manheim. In his earlier years, he worked as a welder for Burnham Corp., Lancaster. He was a member of the American Farrier Association and TWHBEA.
Thanks to God, Bob, a wonderful husband, father and horseman, will now be back to riding his Tennessee Walking Horses. We sincerely thank our friends and family for all the support through the years.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Robert R. “Bob” Swayne Jr. of Manheim, a brother, Richard husband of Shirley Swayne of Quarryville and two sisters, Mary Ann wife of Ron Rineer of Quarryville and Patsy wife of Don White of Pequea.
A funeral service was held on April 19 at Buch Funeral Home.
