Dawson William Shuford passed away Tuesday January 22, 2008 quietly and peacefully while in his mother’s arms.
His courageous fight during his bone marrow transplant touched and inspired many. His smile and personality will be forever missed. Dawson Shuford is survived by proud Parents Dr. Matthew and Janna Shuford, Grandparents David and Karen Shuford, Joe and Donneta Herald, Great Grandparents Kenneth and Datha Thrasher, Bobby and Wanda Herald and Vivian Jones, and Uncles Chad Shuford and Kyle Herald. Memorial Service will be held in the sanctuary at Park Cities Baptist Church on Friday, January 25, 2008, at 11:00 a.m.
"He brought us such joy for the past 9 months and fought courageously for the past month, but he has gone to Heaven to be with our Lord. We are thankful to our Lord who gave us 9 months with our son. We are so thankful for all of your prayers and your support over the past few months and to the donor that gave Dawson a chance for a cure. We have been amazed by how many lives Dawson touched in his short time here."
