Jean S. Harris, 71, died Saturday, November 03, 2007.
Born in Dalton, GA, Mrs. Harris was the widow of Bill Harris and the daughter of the late Iverson Eugene and Flossie Towery Satterfield. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Glenda Mixson, of Greer, Ann Stasney of Greenville, and Buddy Stasney and his wife, Lisa of Lincolnton, NC; five grandchildren, Ryan Mixson, Jenny Mixson, Bryce Stasney, Holly Bare and Ryan Bare; one great-grandchild, Jalen Bare; and three sisters, Louise Jones, Delores Straw, and Brenda Adams.
The Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation following from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
