Marvin E. Taylor, 81, or DeSoto, Missouri passed away March 4, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette (Toni) and sons, Donald, Ken, and Jake. Ken Taylor, and his son, Josh, are trainers at Ken Taylor Stables DeSoto, Missouri. Marvin served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a former crew leader with the Missouri State Highway Department, and was a Tennessee Walking Horse trainer.

Mr. Taylor started his training career in Indiana with Wallace Harmon, then moved to Tennessee and trained for Ed Ezell, later moved to Pennsylvania and worked for Uncle Bob Cunningham with Ed Ezell, Jr., Albert Rowland, Charlie Branscom, and Bob Pyland, and finally settled in Missouri to train for Leon Hall and Ralph Keith.

A couple of horses Mr. Taylor was associated with were Merry Wilson and Seminole Chief.
