Friday Night Performance Suspended at The Celebration

The Friday night performance of the 68th Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration was suspended after two classes had been completed.  The Celebration chose to suspend classes while interpretive issues regarding the inspection process were being negotiated.

“The issues involved are not Celebration issues,” said TWHNC Chairman John T Bobo.  “The issues are between the National Horse Show Commission (NHSC) and the United States Department of Agriculture.  However, these issues are being played out on the stage of our world championship horse show.  Unfortunately, the professional trainers of this industry and The Celebration itself are the most dramatically impacted.”

The Celebration has morning classes scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and they will go on as scheduled.  A decision on when the suspended classes from Friday night will be made up will occur on Saturday.
