IRVINE, Ky. – The Estill County Fair Horse Show was held in Irvine, Ky., on July 11, 2008. Approximately 150 entries attended the show to make it a success. Carmiletta Steele judged the 25-class event.
Keith Becknell of Brandye Mills Stables in Richmond claimed four blues to top the tally, including a Walking Stake blue with Olympic’s Black Star. Several other trainers who claimed one or more blues were Sweet Revenge, Carroll Doyle Stables, McQuerry Stables and Blackburn Stables.
The Yearling class seems to be a popular class this year, as there were 22 entries and the class was split into two divisions.
Show management of the Estill County Fair asked that everyone leave their calendar open for this show next season to ensure they have another successful year. Complete results will follow this story and may be viewed by clicking here.
