HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN THE TENNESSEE WALKING HORSE INDUSTRY?
Attended my first Celebration in 1965. Left the walking horses in the late 1990’s. Re-entered in 2017.

WHAT HORSES DO YOU CURRENTLY OWN AND WHO ARE THEY IN TRAINING WITH?
She’s Blue As Ice, Rammer Jammer WDE and Your Wildest Dreams. All three are in training with Philip Trimble.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE PAST WORLD GRAND CHAMPION AND WHY?
Pride’s Jubilee Star, because my family owned him at one point.

IF THERE WAS ONE AREA OF THE INDUSTRY YOU COULD CHANGE OR RAMP UP, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I would like to see more people become involved / more spectators, because it’s a great family sport.

IF YOU WERE NOT AT THE BARN OR A HORSE SHOW, WHAT WOULD WE FIND YOU DOING IN YOUR FREE TIME?
Cooking, traveling and hiking

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE TV SHOWS, MOVIES OR NETFLIX FEATURES HAVE YOU BEEN BINGE WATCHING DURING THE PANDEMIC?
The Crown, Steel Magnolias, Harry & Snowman and Secretariat.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR SHOW CAREER THUS FAR?
Winning the Pony class at the Trainers’ Show in 2019.

WHAT WORDS OF WISDOM CAN YOU GIVE TO THE HORSE INDUSTRY ON THE PANDEMIC?
Be informed. Be cautious. Be respectful of other people’s health.

    Charlene Cox, age 67, of Seymour, Tennessee passed away on July 4, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Maloy Proffitt Allen. A horse enthusiast, Charlene was known across the East Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama show circuit. In addition to showing, she also enjoyed judging. Charlene judged the Racking Horse World Celebration in 2015. Read More
