Papas Dark Shadow was owned by Brant Collier of Rogersville, Ala., and Marjorie Watson of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. He passed away on June 3, 2014 at Baum Equine Hospital in Shelbyville, Tenn., due to complications from a twisted intestine/colic.
He was a winning show horse his entire career. This outstanding 9 year old gelding was crowned 2011 World Champion Owner Amateur Youth Novice Riders 12-17 on Novice Mares & Geldings with Brant Collier in the irons. This victory was attained under the banner of Jerry Collier Stables of Rogersville, Ala., where he was prepared for the show ring for the majority of his show career.
Papa's Dark Shadow was bred and raised by Jerry Hudgins of Clarkesville, Ga. He will be sadly missed in the show ring, and by Ms. Watson and the Collier Stables Family.
