The Report has recently learned of the passing of Pride’s Flashy Girl. She was foaled on May 16, 1988 and died at 26 years of age on August 5, 2014. This talented mare was truly an ambassador for the walking horse breed. She claimed the Two-Year-Old Mare Futurity title in 1990, then the Three-Year-Old Amateur Mare World Championship the following year and finally her final World Championship win was in the Classic Horse class in 2003.

She was owned by the Jimmy Grant family. Grant’s daughter, Audrey competed on Flashy Girl in the Youth Medallion Canter class in later years. In fact, the mare spent over 20 years of her life in the show ring, proving the longevity of this wonderful breed.

She will truly be missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.
