Protest Upheld - Class Retied at Celebration

The Amateur Owned and Trained Canter class held Thursday morning at the Celebration has been retied due to disqualification of the winner Doc Ty and Clay Mills. Doc Ty was shown at the East Tennessee Classic in White Pine, Tennessee, held June 15 and 16, 2007, by Chad Baucom in the Open Stake. Because he had been shown by a professional trainer within 90 days of the Celebration, he is ineligible to be shown as an amateur owned and trained horse.

Jorge and Chad Adams are the new champions of the Amateur Owned and Trained Canter class. Roger Latham and Symbol of Ritz are the reserve champions.

The class has been retied and the Walking Horse Report results database & the Judge's card has been updated.
