The Performance Show Horse Association (PSHA) was created to consolidate industry enforcement of the Horse Protection Act (HPA) in a fair and consistent manner with the ultimate goal to protect the wellbeing of performance horses, while maintaining the integrity of the sport.

The decision by SHOW HIO to accept the USDA minimum penalty protocol comes after the court’s decision in Texas in favor of the USDA in the lawsuit SHOW filed challenging their constitutionality.  Given the court’s decision and the USDA rule being implemented PSHA supports adherence with the law.
