EASLEY, S.C. - The Southeastern Walking Horse Classic was held July 26, 2008, at the Valley Springs Stables and Farm in Easley, S.C. Judy Martin of Shelbyville, Tenn., was the judge for the 37 classes of the evening.

The show was a charity event to benefit Prevent Child Abuse of Pickens County. This is a non-profit organization serving Pickens County since 1991 whose goal is to protect children, support families and build communities. Kenneth and Carolyn Nations were the show managers.

The finale of the evening was the Walking Horse Championship. Pushover’s My Papa and Sam Martin took home the title for Jay McLaughlin. Major Gee Whiz and Gary Martin were reserve for Paul Simmons. Another Pushbutton and Randy Lollis were third for Nancy Drais.
