Rebecca Carroll was the sole survivor of a single-engine plane crash in Morton, Wash., on Friday, March 19 on the way home from a business trip in Sacramento, Calif., with her new boss. Carroll suffered severe injuries including both arms and legs broken, eight broken ribs, broken knee cap and a broken thumb for a total of 19 broken bones. After over two weeks in the hospital, Carroll is looking forward to getting into a skilled nursing facilty next week to begin rehabilitation.
Carroll has been involved in the walking horse industry since 1993 and is actively involved in the TWHBEA of Washington club and Tennessee Saturday Night Horse in Vancouver, Wash., in May. She won the 2000 Western Lite Shod Amateur World Championship with Jasmine Magic, 2001 TWHBEA Versatility Model High Point with Ima Big Score and is currently enjoying showing her pleasure horses Absolutely Grand and Uniquely Grand in the Northwest.
