On November 12th, Colby Rice was crowned the 2023 Miss Rodeo Kentucky. Colby has grown up on the back of the Tennessee Walking Horse, since she was little, she has been entering the ring on performance horses. Colby went against the odds of not coming from a rodeo background and faced the challenge head on. Not knowing what to expect her first time competing in 2022, she came out with numerous awards. At the pageant this following week she was awarded with the Written Test, Speech, Personality, Appearance, and Community Service Award. Saturday at the RAM Great Lakes Circuit Finals in Louisville, Kentucky, Colby was able to be recognized and rode in the grand entry.
 
In the upcoming year Colby will be promoting the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, agriculture, and the state of Kentucky. She will go on and compete at the Miss Rodeo America 2023 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Throughout her year she is most excited to be making some appearances on the back of her Tennessee Walking Horse.
